Trusted Stress Management Specialists
Our team at NY Health & Wellness, LLC consists of clinical psychologists, and educators who provide services to clients in Dutchess County, New York as stress management specialists. Some of them have worked with schools, colleges, law enforcement agencies, and firefighting organizations.
Our Team.
Dr. Paul Gunser is a licensed psychologist in New York. He has Board Certification in Neurofeedback (BCIA), is a Certified Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback Practitioner, a Certified Tai Chi Easy Practice Leader, Certified in Reiki and Board Certified in Medical Psychotherapy (ABMPP). He was an Attending Psychologist at St. John"s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, NY, a Consulting Police Psychologist with the Yonkers Police Department, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Guidance and Counseling at LI.U. He has a private practice in Clinical Psychology for over 36 years. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, and the Health Psychology Division of the American Psychological Association.

Deborah Maier, MS, MS is a seasoned educator. She has been on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts in NYC for over 20 years; she is a visual artist and a correspondent with the Millerton News (a local newspaper). Her pride is Organic Gardening, which has proven to be a most successful venture. She also is active with a group educating the public about plastic and how it can impact our health.

Dr. Gunser
Dr. Gunser was trained in Health and Wellbeing Coaching at Duke University Integrative Medicine Program. He conducted a stress management study while working on his doctorate dissertation. It took place in the New York City Public Schools with over 70 teachers. The results demonstrated that over 70% of his subjects who received the intervention

experienced a decrease in symptoms that they initially had prior to the training. He also performed Fitness for Duty examinations of Yonkers Police Officers and Town of Harrison Police Officers.
He has been a volunteer clinician with the Police Organization Providing Peer Assistance – NYPD PBA Affiliate. In addition, he was an adjunct associate professor at Long Island University.

Dr. Gunser has been training in Ayurvedic Wellness (professional training with the Maharishi Ayurveda University of Management in affiliation with the University of Maryland Integrative Medicine Program) and has taken numerous webinars on herbs and their application to well-being. He also holds a certificate in Tai Chi/Qi Gong (Tai Chi Easy Practice Leader Certificate).
Dr. Gunser recently completed a Harvard Law School certification entitled the Program on Negotiation. Subsequently, he obtained a Nutrition and Healthy Living certificate from Cornell University. He is also a certified HeartMath Practitioner (HeartMath.org – a nonprofit organization).
Dr. Gunser completed his doctoral degree and a postgraduate certificate in Neuropsychology from the Fielding Graduate University. In addition, he completed his neuropsychology externship at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Arlene Katzenberg
Dr. Arlene Katzenberg is a Health Psychologist and is Board Certified in Medical Psychotherapy. She was a member of the Crisis Team at Westchester Medical Center and currently works at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Katzenberg maintains a private psychology practice as well.
